The Mermaid Duo is both apartments of the historic Mermaid Bungalows on Coastal Highway, booked together: the retro ground-floor Mermaid Cottage (Unit A) and the sunny upstairs Mermaid Bungalow (Unit B). Each has its own front door, king bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, and with both booked the courtyard - hot tub under a lit pergola, fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs - the laundry shed and both parking spaces are for your group alone.
This page is the answer to "what does the house have?" so you can pack with confidence. Your welcome letter arrives by email three days before check-in with the address, keypad code, Wi-Fi details, house rules, trash day and check-out instructions. Nothing on this page replaces it.

A drip coffee maker in each apartment with a starter supply of coffee - bring grounds, not pods.
🧻Starter Supplies & Paper Goods
We leave a limited starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap and basic toiletries to get you settled. It is a starter supply, not a full-stay supply, so plan to pick up more for a longer stay.
🛏️Bedrooms & Linens
Downstairs: king bed in the bedroom (ceiling fan, smart TV) and a futon in the main room that opens to a full bed. Upstairs: king bed in the bedroom (ceiling fan, smart TV, ensuite walk-in shower) and a futon in the living room that opens to a full bed. Linens, extra pillows and blankets provided.
🚿Bathrooms
Two bathrooms, one in each apartment, both with walk-in showers and no tub. Hair dryer, basic soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.

Bath towels and beach towels are provided.

Fast Wi-Fi in both apartments. The network names and passwords are in your welcome letter.

Stackable washer and dryer in the exterior shed behind the red door at the base of the stairs, for your group only. Iron and ironing board provided.
🚗Parking
Both parking spaces in the fenced lot are yours; additional vehicles park at Publix. Do not park in the neighborhood to the north or you will be towed; please follow the parking instructions in your welcome letter.

🛺Golf Carts
Optional golf-cart rentals (4-seat and 6-seat) are available through Finn Golf Carts, a separate rental business that delivers to Vilano 101 homes. Carts are not included with the home and are booked separately.

- Sunscreen, bug spray and after-sun lotion
- Groceries and coffee pods or grounds beyond the starter supply (Publix is minutes away)
- Extra paper goods for longer stays
- Beach bag, water bottles and a cooler for beach days
- Any special baby or dietary items
- Chargers, and a swimsuit for day one - the pool and beach are ready when you are
📌Important House Notes
- The Cottage is on the ground floor; the Bungalow is reached by an exterior staircase, so someone in your group will be climbing stairs.
- The home sits on a busy main street and you will hear road noise.
- You have the whole property - nothing is shared with other guests.
- Dogs only, two maximum, with a fee per dog and approval before booking.
- Keypad entry at both apartments (codes in your welcome letter).

Can I cook?
Yes, downstairs - the Cottage cooktop works (its retro oven is decorative only). The upstairs kitchenette is for prep and reheating.
Is the hot tub private?
Yes - with both apartments booked, the hot tub, courtyard and laundry are for your group only.
Is there a dishwasher?
No, neither apartment has one.
